Season Recap
- The San Miguel Beermen have figured in the final playoffs in the first two conferences, losing to Shell Turbochargers, bannered by seven-time best import Bobby Parks in the Open finals, 4-1, Won the All-Filipino crown over defending champion Purefoods TJ Hotdogs in a seven-game series, had to go through a knockout game in the Third conference, to make past the eliminations, ousting Shell Rimula X, the beermen went as far as the playoff match for the finals berth, losing to Seven-Up, 102-91, San Miguel places fourth in the last conference of the season, Renato Agustin won MVP honors, over Swift's Nelson Asaytono, also making it to the Mythical five selection was Agustin's teammate, El Presidente Ramon Fernandez.
